Unit 803 at The Oasis at Orange Beach is a gem of a rental for those of us with physical limitations. The unit itself offered plenty of space for the 4 of us (all adults) that stayed there for 2 weeks. There were able towels, kitchenware (pots/pans/silverware), and the beds were extremely comfortable which is a rare treat for a rental. As someone who is 6'4" and 245lbs with a physical disability, the biggest selling point for this unit for me was the included power lift-chair/recliner. Most rentals have rental furniture (understandably). This means overly soft and low couches and chairs. I cannot physically get out of those without my wife's help. Having the lift-chair in the living room made our trip perfect. It gave me my independence allowing my wife to enjoy the beach when I wanted to stay indoors. She didn't have to worry about me being trapped alone on the couch. I honestly can't stress how a simple lift-chair being provided is critical for us and greatly appreciated. Even the furniture on the patio was tall enough I could get out of it on my own. Hooray! The Oasis itself is interesting. I can only compare it to Turquoise Place down the road which we stayed at the previous year. TP was newer and had better beach access due to how much large the TP development is spread out compared to Oasis. The parking garage (also paid like with Oasis) was larger and a renter received 1 reserved spot in the garage unlike Oasis. We happened to come during 2 weeks of Fall Break so Oasis was very full. Securing a spot, even on the 8th floor, was not always easy even though we did have a disabled parking permit. While Oasis is an older building, it had many of the same amenities that TP had. In fact, the onsite beach bar and grill was better at Oasis being open longer, providing better food and at a better price than at TP. Overall, Oasis as a building had some design peculiarities, but these didn't really detract from the overall vacation experience. For the few problems we had, the rental agency's maintenance staff were responsive as was the building's own maintenance crew. The real selling point of this place is its setup for those of us with disabilities (especially the lift-chair for me personally). The only thing we brought, and are glad we did, was a simple attachable toilet seat riser because the toilets are very low if you're over 6' and have mobility issues. But literally everything else you need is thoughtfully provided. We enjoyed our stay so much, and the unit fit our accessibility needs so well, that we booked another 2 weeks at 803 for the Spring. That's how much we love the place and how much a simple, power lift-chair being provided makes our vacation perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oasis 803. My son is a quadriplegic and this condo had everything we needed. From the adjustable bed, roll in shower and supplied shower chair we did not have to bring anything with us. The ramp to the balcony is great! My son was able to enjoy the beautiful weather on the balcony! The amenities and beach service was great!

My husband is in year 11 of living with ALS! We found this condo on one of the ALS pages! It was everything the site shows and more! Probably one of the cleanest condos we’ve stayed in! Traveling with a disability is so difficult and this place made it easier with all the extras. It was the closest thing to home we have found and are so thankful that the owner has chosen to continue to share her beautiful place with others as a tribute to her husband that passed from ALS. We vacationed to this area for years when our kids were younger and being able to come back, bring our family and enjoy the beach was an amazing experience we didn’t think would ever be possible again. Beach buggy rentals were awesome to deal with and helped make beach time possible! This place makes memories possible! Thank you!!

This condo was THE BEST EVER!! It provided many conveniences for Sophie, my 13-year-old granddaughter who is a paraplegic from birth due to Cerebral Palsy. The spaciousness of the condo was great for her wheelchair, along with the master shower, balcony access, and beach access. Our hearts were touched by the family who made this available to us. This is our 3rd year staying at Oasis unit 803. My son uses a power wheelchair and the accessibility it's amazing. The adjustable beds in the master bedroom allow him to change positions during the night. The zero entry shower makes vacation easier plus the shower chair and hoyer lift on sure keeps us from having to bring our own. The balcony is large and there is a ramp made specifically for wheelchair users to access it with no problem. We love staying here and plan to come back next year.

The condo was huge and exceptionally clean. Very considerate to include starter coffee and dish soap, as well. Very quick response to a failed coffee maker, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a wonderful family vacation spot!

So where about 4 hours out from checking into this beautiful condo. All of a sudden I get a phone call from the property manager telling me there's a huge leak in the condo. So I ended up having to switch to another condo. But it worked out amazing because the condo they switched me to was even better than the one I rented. So Because my son didn't get to go on this trip I'm going to book the condo that I didn't get to stay at again in August because it's a penthouse with an amazing view and I want to see how nice it is compared to the one that I just stayed in. I was very pleased with how the situation was handled

This is a beautiful condo, very well equipped in the kitchen, but esp. for the handicap traveler. The multi pieces of handicap equipment makes for a very enjoyable week. We had our kids and grandkids here and we ALL had a great wonderful week! The location to restaurants and shopping was amazing! But, the best part was the stunning balcony and view on the beach...second to none! Our weather was a little chilly so we did use the indoor pool area only. It also was great! Lunch at the little bar/cafe onsite was also delish.

We’ve rented several condos in the last few years and the Oasis unit 803 is by far the most accommodating for people who are in a wheelchair. We are so excited to have finally found this particular unit! What a blessing to not have to cart all our equipment from Oklahoma. My husband is on hospice and this was his request, to visit the beach. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful condo. There are so very few accessible units to rent on the Emerald Coast.

Wheelchair user here and let me clue you in ... This is the place for you if you are a beach lover. Came to Orange beach for the first time this September with the family (wife, mom and her friend, brother and his girlfriend). How good was it? We have already booked our return for next year. This unit has you covered with a ramp to the deck, a beautiful view from the 8th floor, a roll in shower in the master bath along with a huge soaking tub for relaxing, a Hoyer lift (bring your own sling), roll under sink, and even a bathroom chair. I also rented a beach power wheelchair from Beach'N Buggy's (ask for Marie) who had the chair waiting outside the condo when we arrived and picked it up after we checked out when our week was over. The condo was very clean and beautiful upon our arrival. Easy booking and automated check-in process. Unit is appointed with everything you need kitchen wise. While we were there no maintenance issues. The management company, Beach Getaways, did drop by to "secure/zip tie the patio furniture one day because of a storm passing through but just told us to cut them off afterwards which we did. The Orange Beach area was great. There are 20+ miles of paved walking/riding trails at the Hugh S. Branyon trails almost right next to the condo. The wife and friend even went skydiving while we were there. Check out The Warf complex where we went shopping, saw a movie, had a good meal, and caught a nature/dolphin cruise. Food ... oh my gosh food. I think you could spend the next year trying the different restaurants between Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. We are from Tennesse and have been going to Florida for vacations for the last 50 years. Not anymore!

803 is our home away from. It is a perfect spot for our family. All of my husbands accessible needs are met. (He has ALS). Having access to all of the equipment and the ramp for the balcony is a breath of fresh air. The accessible things we use are the hoyer, raz shower chair, electric bed and balcony ramp. The kitchen is also fully stock for big family cooking needs! We will be back for sure! I think this was our 3rd time staying! Love!

I don't even know where to begin. The unit is so beautiful, well equipped and such a wonderful view of the beach!! We chose this unit because of the accessibility features it offered. Growing up our folks took us to the beach every year, and until 2020 that was the norm. Three years later, mom and dad both have dementia, mom has extremely limited mobility and basically in a wheelchair, and moved into an assisted living location this year. When we heard about this unit and what it offered for people like our family, it was an answer to prayers. We wanted to get them back to beach, at least one more time. You're generosity of sharing equipment made this possible. We will always be grateful. There were many moments that we will never forget getting to share with our parents. Thank you and bless you!!

Beautiful accessible condo

This condo is beautiful, accessible and even has a hoyer lift and shower chair at the condo. The beds are very comfortable. The balcony is easily accessible for a wheelchair user. The view of the gulf is a 10/10. We watched dolphins play, sea birds dive for fish and unfortunately many pink meanies (jellyfish). The parking deck is convenient with 2 handicap parking spots of each level BUT exiting the parking deck my wheelchair accessible van scraped pretty badly. If you go to the far left and angle to the right going down it isn't as bad. Just be aware and careful.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We enjoyed waking up to seeing the beach and having breakfast on the awesome patio. Our family was so comfortable. We never felt like we were fumbling on top of each other. Having the beach access right there was great. The lazy river was great to enjoy at the end of each day. Our host was so helpful with having the equipment needed for my husband, who is confined to a wheelchair. The unit was clean and ready the minute we checked in.

Our group stayed at 803 for a short 4 night/5 day trip at the end of July. This condo was spacious and accommodating to our 11 people. At the time of booking, I did not know it was handicap accessible. However, bringing a group of medical professionals, the equipment provided was in good, working shape. The extra attention to: doorways, shower rails, ramps, and mechanical beds (master only) would make things possible for those with mobility problems.

We loved our stay in condo 803! My mom is a wheelchair user and this condo was perfect for my family and friends. My mom was able to get around and be independent in the room and the entire resort. Dream Unit for a family with ALS

We loved our stay at Phoenix West II. Unit 803 was equipped with everything we needed to take care of our family member with ALS. The unit has a gorgeous view and plenty of space for 6 adults to be comfortable. Plenty of bedding and extra pillows, etc. The outdoor area was accommodating as well with a large pool deck. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This condo is a 5 star unit. Everything was just perfect even the weather in February. We had an issue with one of the ceiling fans and called to report it. maintenance was there within 30 minutes. Only issue we had was the garages were being painted and we never knew which floor we were going to get to park on when we came and went. It was very confusing at times but we survived it. LOL. We will definitely stay at this place again! You can't beat a 3 bedroom 4 bath condo unit with every amenity that you could want.

After seeing pictures of this condo online, we expected it to be beautiful but were blown away over our entire experience. It was perfect for us and included everything we needed. My son being in a wheelchair, it is sometimes tricky for us to find accommodations but this place had an adjustable bed, a Hoyer lift, a shower/toilet chair and a ramp to the balcony and plenty of space for him to maneuver around. The owners and management were super friendly and kept in touch to make sure everything was exactly as desired. I have to say this was the best condo, house, hotel stay that we have ever had. I would give it an A++.

Overall, this condo was very nice and accommodating for a member of our family who need handicap accessible amenities. They layout of the condo was very comfortable and the views were spectacular. The only issue we had was the cable and internet was spotty, going in and out, just something to bring to the attention of the owners. We had an amazing week down at the beach! The condo was perfect for our family and super comfortable for our disabled member. The condo itself was gorgeous- modern, well decorated, and comfortable. The beach location was great and it was close to many restaurants and shops! We will absolutely be staying here again in the future!

This place was absolutely amazing. My wife suffers from ALS and it is difficult for us to travel due to accommodations. This particular condo is completely set up for all of her needs. They have the exact equipment that we have at home. The view was beautiful and the access to the beach was great. There is a local service that delivered and picked up at reasonably priced beach accessible electric wheelchair right to our door. The only drawback for me period was that they only have parking for two vehicles on-site and we had 3 guests who drove in from other states. The third vehicle had to park offsite about 15 minutes away. This was only a minor setback considering the rest of the accommodations and the only reason it didn't get a perfect rating

Unit #803 is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! It is absolutely beautiful, well cared for & tastefully decorated. Very spacious with 3 bedrooms, a sleeper couch & 4 bathrooms. The outdoor balcony is VERY LARGE & you can really enjoy the ocean without even walking out there! The unit was very clean. SECURE. security is on premises if needed. Your parking permit is checked each time you exit & enter. Everyone wears a bracelet to access amenities. We had everything we needed on hand. It is also great for anyone with a disability/wheelchair it is accessible, the shower, recliners, master bed lifts & has remotes, wider doors. High ceilings throughout! Nice, crisp white molding and trim throughout. The unit has a washer/dryer. I took Tide pods to wash towels or anything we may need (9 of us for 3 nights & 4 days) but it wasn't needed. Enough towels were supplied. I was able to throw a few loads of our beach towels & things to wash before coming home and it was WONDERFUL to unpack with no dirty clothes! The building has 32 (?) floors with only 6 elevators so at times there was a long wait for that. The LAZY RIVER was my family's FAVORITE!! We bought our younger kids a smaller tube float so they could enjoy it too. There's also another outdoor pool, large water slide, a splash pad, indoor heated pool & 3 hot tubs + more! My family had a great time. I do wish I'd known sooner that there are sand toys, floats, etc inside cabinet at front door & games, cards in living room in cabinet. The pool area has a place to inflate floats - that's good to know too! And hairdryers are there. Nonstick skillets, pots, all you need to cook with. We took and needed more toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, etc. I seen that some units supply guests with beach chairs, umbrellas, wagons that are in the rooms. That would be a added bonus but this unit is great! I also LOVED the space before entering the condo!! High ceiling, convenient to put your shoes floats and all the sandy things if you Don't want them to enter the room. Seen some guest playing ping pong out there. Nice LARGE air conditioned space! My teen boys played basketball on the court & relaxed in the sauna. We ordered Pizza Hut fast delivery. We drove to gulf shores & ate at the hangout. Nice and only about 10 minutes away! My only complaint would be the barn doors kept falling off track in the master bedroom/bathroom - that was annoying. We would definitely stay again!! FUN MEMORIES

Our stay at #803 was amazing!! Our vacation wouldn't have been possible without this condo. The handicap accessibility was exceptional. We were able to use the roll in shower, hoyer lift, shower chair and ramp for the balcony with no issues. Cannot recommend enough! 10/10!!!

AMAZING! WHITE SAND! We had so much fun! We rented this condo for 5 nights. Host was very attentive & friendly. Read to the end…Make your way to this lovely condo on Orange Beach, AL and create memories! (My husband has ALS & is wheelchair user with head movement only.) Accessibility friendly…shower chair, hoyer lift, lift recliner, roll in shower/toilet, toilet commode, ramp for balcony accessibility, adjustable bed in master that can be made king or twin beds! Washer/dryer in condo. Sleeps 10…3 bedrooms each with its own bathroom plus a bathroom in hallway and sofa folds out to make a bed. Very roomy condo. There is a separate ice maker under bar. This condo faces the beach with an awesome balcony that receives sun and shade. Covered parking garage for minimal fee. If your family doesn’t have accessibility challenges you will love this condo also! Make this happen for you, your family &/or friends. You will love it! Note: bring/purchase extra paper towels, tp, dish soap, liquid hand soap, laundry soap. Minimal supplies are there but for extended stay we brought extra with us. Also, we witnessed a family place wheelchair with occupant on plastic snow sleds and pulled it on the beach to preferred spot on beach. It wasn’t a 400 lb wheelchair but I’d be curious if that would work. Beach ‘N Buggys to rent beach wheelchair/umbrella =awesome! Go to beach early to rent beach chairs/umbrella for the length of your stay. We bought souvenir clothing/tchotchkes from the friendly staff at The Beach Store across from Rotolo’s Pizzeria (Pesto Manifesto-yummy). Beach goers & staff all offered to help motivate around condominium building & beach. Everyone we came in contact with were friendly & kind. Remember to tip the staff/cleaning crew!

We are a family with special needs (husband has ALS) and this condo met all of our needs. We love the hospitality and the quick responses from owner when needed. They condo was spacious and comfy. It was just what we needed. We absolutely will book again!

Amazing condo for handicapped person!

I have ALS and wanted to take a beach vacation. Having ALS makes traveling very difficult. This condo was a dream come true. It had a everything I needed to enjoy time with my family. I could navigate around everywhere in my power chair. I could take a shower with the roll in shower. I slept better than I do at home thanks to an adjustable bed. I could get out of my wheelchair to sit in the lift recliner. I could go out on the balcony to enjoy the ocean view. The condo is lovely decorated, super clean, and I am very happy with our stay. Please do yourself a favor and stay here! Especially for those of us with ALS or a different disability!!

Wonderful week with the Grandkids

Location is great, our unit was clean and well equipped, everything we needed. met up with our kids and grandkids for a wonderful week in exceptional weather. Definitely would stay in this unit again if the whole family meets up and it is available, if not will use MyBeachGetaways to find a unit that meets our needs.
